On June 16th, Assistant Minister of Commerce Chen Chunjiang met with Brian Sikes, President and CEO of Cargill. Assistant Minister Chen gave an overview of China’s opening-up policies and investment environment, and reaffirmed China’s commitment to advancing the vision for high-standard opening-up and taking concrete actions toward a secure, stable, unimpeded, efficient, open, inclusive and win-win global system of industrial chains and supply chains. He encouraged Cargill to take an active part in building the new development paradigm and share the opportunities brought by Chinese modernization and the Chinese market. Cargill is welcomed to deepen win-win cooperation with Chinese partners in agriculture and food.
